  • 1. How many grape plants are in the 10 acres of vineyard at Soldier Creek Winery?

    A: There are about 8,000 grapevines spanning 10 grape varieties at Soldier Creek Winery.

  • 2. How many different kinds of wine are available at Soldier Creek Winery?

    A: There are 25 different kinds of wine available, including two hard cider + wine blends AND Red Barn Wines which are grown in Story County and made at Soldier Creek.

  • 3. How did Ghost Pig Cider get it's name?

    A:  The Senior Vineyard was planted in 2007 over the site of a former hog building that burned down in 2002. We like to think the ghosts of pigs gone by are walking among the vines.

  • 4. Why "Soldier Creek" Winery?

    A: Soldier Creek, the waterway, runs just north of the Senior Vineyard giving us our namesake!
