Soldier Creek Winery
Family-owned and locally-grown, Soldier Creek strives to foster education about and enthusiasm for local wines. They host live music events, wine tastings, craft days, and more.
There are about 8,000 grapevines spanning 10 grape varieties at Soldier Creek Winery. There are 25 different kinds of wine available, including two hard cider + wine blends AND Red Barn Wines which are grown in Story County and made at Soldier Creek.
Their signature, Ghost Pig cider, has a fun story behind its name. The Senior Vineyard was planted in 2007 over the site of a former hog building that burned down in 2002. We like to think the ghosts of pigs gone by are walking among the vines.
Soldier Creek Winery is also proud to welcome private events and groups. Our winery provides visitors with premium wines produced onsite from locally-grown, cold-hardy grapes. Our family-owned operation strives to foster education and enthusiasm for wine in a fun and welcoming environment.
