Oakland Cemetery
Oakland Cemetery is one of the oldest and most historic burial grounds in Fort Dodge. The cemetery was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in September 2000. There is an annual cemetery walk through Oakland Cemetery to celebrate the history of the people buried there.
The Fort Dodge Public Areas Department is the caretaker of the grounds and the curator of the records for Oakland Cemetery and Memorial Park Cemetery.
