Kennedy Memorial Park

One of the largest and most popular areas managed by the Webster County Conservation Board is John F. Kennedy Memorial Park. This park is a 400-acre multiple-use recreation area. The 53-acre Badger Lake provides the focal point for a wide variety of outdoor activities, including camping, fishing, picnicking, hiking, canoeing, and boating (no gas motors). Kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards are available for rental and use on Badger Lake through Webster County Conservation, location on the main road into the park. You must provide proof of passing a safety course prior to or at the time of rental, and park services prefer you call ahead so they can have your equipment ready on your arrival.

This site also contains a Motus station. Motus stations are specialized receivers used in radio telemetry to track the movements of flying animals, such as birds, bats, and insects. They allow researchers to study and identify important migration routes, stopover areas, and wintering locations and provide valuable insights on animal behaviour. Click here to see more!
